We set up Sisman Web Design because we want to give you back control over your website. In our experience, web design companies often charge high prices, with high monthly charges, and the client ends up having no control over their own website! Our service is based on putting you back in the driver’s seat.

We want you to understand the process involved in creating your own website – that’s why we’ve written a Guide to show you exactly what is involved in designing a site, and putting it on the web. We will never tell you something costs us more than it does, or that something takes longer than it does. You pay the external charges (see details of why there are external charges) yourself, not through us, although we can help you with the setup process if you desire. At the end, there are no hidden fees, you pay exactly what is detailed in the prices page and it’s a one-time payment for a fully-functional website. This means that if you ever want to make changes, it’s very simple to hire someone else or edit it yourself – you don’t necessarily have to employ our services, though obviously we will be pleased if you do!

Services we provide

If you choose us to design your website, the first thing we will do is have a discussion (in person, on the phone or via email) about your particular needs for your website, especially the design part. We then go away and make three designs based on what you asked for in our discussion, and show them to you. See an example of what this process could be like here. You pick one, and although we can make minor changes, we usually can’t make further major changes to the design without extra payment, as the design aspect is very time consuming. We then design the website, and incorporate your text and pictures on each page, as you wish. To put it on the internet, you will need a domain name and web hosting service, both of which you can read about in our guide. We can set this up if you wish, but please note this is a separate cost from that of the website, and we make no profit from it. Once this is done, you review your website, and if you’re happy with it, we upload it to the internet, and everyone can access it! If you wish, we can also set up monitoring tools such as Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools which give you all kinds of information about your website and its users. We then send you a USB drive containing all the passwords and information to do with your website recorded delivery. Once you confirm you have received this, we will delete everything sensitive or private from our computer, leaving you with total control over your website.
