After you have named all the specifications that you require for your website, we will agree on a price and a 20% deposit is required. If you decide that you wish to add one or more extra features part-way through, and this raises the price substantially (by more than £50), you will be required to pay 20% of the price of the new feature(s) as well. The remaining 80% of the total revised price is payable within 7 working days of the site being available online. We accept payment by cash, cheque or paypal. In the case of cheques, we reserve the right to wait until the cheque has cleared before beginning work (in the case of the deposit) or sending the USB drive (in the case of the finished site).
Please note that adding additional features may not be possible after the deposit has been paid. Try to make sure you tell us everything you want in the first meeting.
If the full price is not paid within 7 working days of the site being online, Sisman Web Design may take the website offline until they have received full and adequate payment. Sisman Web Design will not send the USB drive containing the passwords and information until they have been paid.
The deposit: if you decide you do not want our services, but have already paid the deposit and thus have already agreed to our doing work on your site, Sisman Web Design will keep your deposit. If Sisman Web Design cancels the project, you receive your deposit back in full. Sisman Web Design reserves the right to cancel the project at any time. Sisman Web Design also reserves the right to refuse or delay any projects from clients before the deposit is paid.
Once the website is online, it is no longer the responsibility of Sisman Web Design. The client should contact the web hosting service or the domain name registrar for help in fixing problems. Sisman Web Design does not do any kind of maintenance once the site is up and running. It does, however, do its utmost to ensure the site should work well beforehand, and will not tamper with the site in any way after the project is finished. You may re-employ Sisman Web Design to further work on your site if you wish, but this is a separate transaction.
Once the fee has been paid, and Sisman Web Design has posted a USB drive to the client recorded delivery, and the client indicates they have received said USB drive, Sisman Web Design will delete all passwords and usernames from their computer, retaining only basic information already found on the client's website and thus available to the public, and other methods of contact, as well as a name. They will not retain any information that would allow them to edit, delete or otherwise tamper with the client's website.
Although Sisman Web Design may recommend third party companies based on their policies or previous experience with them, it would like to make clear that it is in no way responsible for the activities of these companies. Services purchased by the client from such third party companies are bought solely at the client’s own risk, and Sisman Web Design is not responsible for such transactions. Sisman Web Design is also not responsible for third party services such as Google Analytics, and Google Webmaster tools.
In the web design process, it is the client’s responsibility to produce the images and text wanted for each page and to pay the web host service and domain name registration service. Neglect of these responsibilities means that Sisman Web Design cannot do its job, and the project will be cancelled, and Sisman Web Design will keep the deposit.
If the client pays the deposit, and Sisman Web Design tries three times or more to contact the client for any reason during the project, but are unable to make contact for three weeks from the time of the first contact, Sisman Web Design may cancel the project without refunding the deposit.
Sisman Web Design will link to your site from this site on the “Portfolio” page. In return, the client agrees to have a piece of text on every page of their website saying “Website by Sisman Web Design” with a link to this site (www.sismanwebdesign.co.uk). The text must be at least 12pt in size.
